Innocence

Children as subject have always fascinated me. But, you see ! Kids are not readily available. Shot few, and showcasing them now. Do take a look and leave honest reviews of it. Shall come up with more soon.

If you want to shoot children, make sure that the child is very comfortable in front of the camera. Else, use telephoto lens and hide somewhere ๐Ÿ˜› Kids look best when candid or left by themselves, or by their friends. I as a photographer, I spend more time noticing them and smiling myself, than photographing them ๐Ÿ˜›
Either use a telephoto lens or a prime lens for faster shutter. Telephoto lens generally takes time to stabilise and focus properly, my 55-300 does .. in that case use only prime lens.

The first photograph in this series, was shot in Rajbalhat (29/04/2012), near Kolkata. Of all the kids near the โ€œTaantโ€ destination, I kept noticing this child, and his innocence drove me crazy. He kept hiding behind โ€œnโ€ number of other kids. His smile, even today brings a smile on my face.

The second photograph in this series, almost got me arrested. I was photoshooting childrens at South City Mall, Kolkata at Childrens day (2011). While I got some candid shots, rest were mere ordinary.

The above photographs were taken in different point in time, the left most at Howrah Station, Kolkata. The middle one at Tagore Birth festival at Jorasanko, Kolkata while the right most near Kumartuli, Kolkata.
